Complete Paint job

This Range Rover has come to us from New York to be rebuilt. The owner bought
it new, and now that the Rover has seen a number of miles he wants it "like
new" again. It will be getting everything from mechanical updates and
repairs to a full paint job in its original red.

First step, as with all ECR refurbishing work, tear the Rover down and find
everything that needs to be fixed or replaced. In the body work portion
of this project that meant new: hood, wing, rear quarters, corner posts
and more. In this image you can see most of the damaged parts have been
removed and body work on the needed areas has begun. An ECR paint job means
more than just new color on the "show" surfaces. We dig down and
find every bit of rust and corrosion we can to make a long lasting repair,
even where you'll never see it.

Here you can see the body work on going. The panels that were good enough
to keep are checked inside and out for rust and then any bodywork that is
needed is done to get rid of any parking lot dings. The re-worked areas
are then spot primed and block sanded to ensure a perfectly flat surface
for the ECR paint job.

Now in the paint booth the interior parts of the Range Rover are readied
for paint. All the corrosion and needed welding is already done and primed,
and the door jams now await a few coats of the correct shade of red. Inside
and out the paint on this Range Rover will be like new.

With the door jams and under hood areas painted, the Range Rover is taped
up so that we can paint the exterior. Shown here as it comes out of the
paint booth, the base coat/ clear coat Portifino Red paint job looks great.
The new body panels will now be painted and the Rover will be moved over
to the mechanical side of ECR to have all the small parts installed and
have a full mechanical system check.

As the details start to go back together, this Range Rover begins to look
new again. Here you can see the finished paint job with the small items
such as door handles, rubbing strips and lights going back on. It is also
getting some service items taken care of such as new Bilstien shocks, repair
of numerous items and more.

Now complete this old faded Range Rover has been given a new lease on life
with gleaming paint and all the details done to ECR's exacting standards.

The Rover also had a new rear bumper installed as well as new tail lights
and more.

We'll be glad to help in any way we can.
