Land Rovers For Sale
The Land-Rover Defenders we have listed for sale are located here at our facility.
We do not sell Rovers that we have not seen/driven/inspected.
We fully inspect the vehicles in our shop for any problems and overall condition.
We then pass all that information on to you, and with our knowledge of Rovers you are assured of the real story.
All of us who work here at ECR have driven for hours to find that a vehicle which was advertised as "restored" was actually far from it. Our goal is to get the right Rover connected with the right buyer. We give you an accurate description so you have no hassle buying, and a great Land-Rover experience.
The staff of ECR is made up of mechanics. We are not salesman who know nothing about the real inner workings of a Defender, nor do we sell any other type of vehicle, no Porsches, no BMWs, just Defenders.
You can call us and get the real story, as we would want it told to us, or you can go with the exotic car dealers with high overheads who tell you what you want to hear so that they can finance their next Ferrari purchase. These dealers will tell you that whatever they are selling is "all good" just because the 90 looks good after being detailed. No used Defender is "all good". They all have flaws because they are all now older vehicles. Some flaws are major, some are minor, but if you are buying a Defender we feel you should know the good and the bad before you plunk down your hard earned money.
ECR is a licensed, bonded, Maine State Pre-Owned Car Dealer
ECR vehicles are sold exclusively by ECR, from our facility here in Rockland, Maine.
If you would like an ECR vehicle, please call us, otherwise you are just buying a used Rover from a used car dealer.
We strongly suggest that you have any Rover that you are thinking about buying fully checked out before you buy it, no matter who you are buying it from.
The right Rover can be a blast. The wrong one can be one problem after another, Be sure you know what you are getting and do not assume just because a Rover is at a dealer that you are getting a good vehicle.
Before you buy anything that is claimed to be an ECR vehicle please contact us and we will be happy to give you all the information we have about the vehicle.
Just because it has an ECR decal on it does not mean it was built, serviced or modified in our shop.
Have a look at the "Buyer's Guide" photos we are working on, one of the photos may assist you in buying a Defender if you are
buying it from another dealer or individual:
Land Rover Sales FAQ
1993 Land Rover NAS Defender 110 #61/500, 3.9 EFI V8, LT77 5 speed manual in Alpine White with 92K miles*, SALVAGE TITLE
This NAS 110 had an engine fire that consumed the engine bay, dash and the majority of the interior. We have had this 110 around for many years and when time has allowed we have started to put it back together with good used parts that we have taken off other NAS 110s. We are so busy in the shop now that we know we will not have time to finish this project so it is time to move it along to someone who wants to finish it up. The 110 had 92K miles when it had the engine fire. We replaced the engine with a good used 67K mile unit, so we found a speedo to match and installed it. The original speedo was too burned to re-use (see photos). The 110 does not run or drive, but it does move and steer. The majority of the parts are there to complete the build other than things like new headliners, middle seat covers and such that will be needed to button up the interior. The frame is good but could use a good coat of paint. The bulkhead is good. The doors are corroded and should be repaired. The truck has a CT salvage title, so you will need to complete the work, then have the truck inspected as per your state requirements before you can title it in your name. Think of it like a big Defender 110 model kit that you need to put together. Once you are done you will have a nice 110 and be far under the money. You can't see the salvage title from the driver's seat, so don't let that scare you off.
